Why we're building LOTACHI.
The marketplace for model opportunities.
LOTACHI was created after seeing how fragmented the process of finding model opportunities can be for both providers and the public. Opportunities live in scattered social posts, WhatsApp groups and personal contact lists — hard for the right people to find, and time-consuming for providers to manage. We call our community members Chi Chis — the people who take part in model opportunities.
Founder
Founded by Amaka Ananti, LOTACHI is being built from first-hand experience of the fragmented way model opportunities are currently discovered and managed.
Amaka began exploring LOTACHI after using model services herself and speaking with tutors, academies, clinics and training providers about the difficulties involved in finding suitable, reliable models. LOTACHI is being developed around those real-world experiences, with a focus on clearer expectations, better matching and a more transparent model journey.
The longer-term vision
To build the infrastructure that connects practical learning opportunities with the people needed to make them possible — starting with hair, beauty and aesthetics, and designed to extend into other areas of practical training over time.
Where things stand today
LOTACHI is early stage. We're building waitlists of interested models and providers, speaking directly with providers about how model recruitment works today, and using that to shape the platform before building it further.
